The Flavorburst pepper is a relative newcomer to the sweet bell pepper market. It is a unique sweet bell pepper that has a crisp, juicy and sweet taste with just a hint of tart citrusy lemon that makes it zesty and refreshing. The initial pepper color is a lime green and though you can use the pepper in this stage it will become even sweeter as it ages and turns an orange yellow color. The fruits measure 4-5 inches long and nearly as wide with 3 or 4 thick lobes. Flavorburst peppers are a good choice for cooking- especially stuffing- thanks to the thick walls which hold up well under high heat. The zingy lemony flavor of the pepper makes it an amazing addition to salads or sliced into rings or wedges and served with a dip. In addition to tasting fantastic these peppers are rich in Vitamins A and C, provide a significant amount of B6 and fiber and are just full of antioxidants, making this a healthy and tasty addition to your diet. Flavorburst peppers produce fruit all summer, longer than most other varieties which make it a great choice for any garden. Place plants 18-30 inches apart in a full sun location. Peppers in general require a moist well-draining soil with mulching around the plants. The mulching helps preserve the moisture in the soil and discourage weed growth. The plants grow 22-30 inches tall and might require caging or staking if the stalks begin to bend under the weight of the fruits. Expect to begin harvesting 70-76 days after planting, continuing on into the fall
