A 5-ounce bag may seem small, but it is compressed from about 18 quarts of dry, fluffy sphagnum moss, which when soaked and puffed yields about 9 quarts of moist sphagnum moss.
A 10-ounce bag is compressed from about 34 quarts of dry fluffy sphagnum moss, which when soaked and fluffed will give you about 18 quarts of wet sphagnum moss.
