CVG Substrate Best Practices
Grain to Sub Ratio: We recommend using 2-3 lbs of colonized grain spawn to 5 lbs of substrate. This is suitable for a 35-45 qt monotub.
Use Sterile Technique: Always sanitize your hands, tools, and work area before handling the substrate.
XL Bag for Easy Mixing: Our substrate comes in extra-large mushroom bags making mixing in your grain spawn a breeze. Simply pour your broken up colonized grain spawn into the substrate bag and shake.
Fruit in Bags or Monotubs: Our substrate is perfect for bulk monotub grows or for direct fruiting inside the bag itself. Our bags have a built-in 5-micron filter making it an easy, low cost fruiting solution.
How to Store and Shelf Life: For long term storage, store in a cool place away from direct sunlight. Properly stored CVG has a shelf life of up to 1 year!
