Product Description
If you’re passionate about orchids, you know that the right soil can make all the difference when it comes to the health and beauty of your plants. That’s why I recommend Doter Orchid Soil; it’s simply a cut above the rest.
Good Drainage
This is a critical aspect of orchid soil. Orchids generally thrive in loose and well-draining soil. Their roots should not be kept in standing water as this can lead to root rot and a decline in the orchidâs overall health.
Well Aeration
Orchid roots need plenty of access to air. Our orchid mixes contain larger “chunky” pieces such as bark to create air pockets in the soil, promoting root health.
Not limited to orchid , there is more:
Bromeliads
Like orchids, bromeliad plants are often epiphytes in their natural habitats, growing on other plants or objects instead of in soil.
Anthuriums
Anthuriums also require a well-draining soil mix and high air flow around the roots, thus making orchid soil an appropriate medium.
Philodendrons
Certain varieties, especially epiphytic philodendrons, will appreciate the chunky, well-draining structure of orchid mix.
Ferns
Many ferns, like staghorn ferns or birdâs nest fern, can benefit from orchid soil due to their need for good aeration and drainage.
